Self-service ice cream house with ice cream from Søster Is in Haderslev.

Sister Ice Cream is tasteful quality ice cream made from our own recipes and with continuous development of new flavors. There is a mix of classics such as licorice ice cream and blackcurrant dream and more experimental variants - chili and chocolate. The ice cream variants are created with seasonal Danish berries and self-produced sauces and additives. No dyes are used. The ice cream is made from fresh milk from Jersey cows - in fact, they live on another farm in Langetved. The sorbet varieties are dairy-free.

Sister Ice Cream tastes best at -14 degrees, and that's a little more than there is in your freezer at home, which is usually around -20 degrees. You must therefore take the ice box up 1 to one and a half before you eat the ice cream - and keep the box closed. So it fits.

The iceboxes can be transported for about 1 hour without any problems and without freezing.

In Langetved, there is a self-service shop with Sister Ice Cream in a former cold store.

How to find the ice cream shop:
The self-service shop is located next to the courtyard on Anneksvej 3 - right where Gastrupvej and Anneksvej meet. You can park along Anneksvej while you buy the ice cream. If you want to enjoy the ice cream on site, there are tables/benches at the other end of Anneksvej - with a view of a small lake and meadow area.

This is how it works:
The door is equipped with a remote-controlled lock, so when you arrive at the self-service store, you call the number that is on the sign in the door. Shortly after, the door replies that it is open, and you can now go in. Remember to close the door behind you. Both when you enter and when you leave.

How to buy:
In the freezer you will find the box of ice cream balls that you want. It says on the outside of the boxes what types of ice cream are in it. Remember to close the freezer door behind you. You pay via mobile pay, there is a note on the table to the left when you enter. There is also a phone number you can call if you need it.

Follow along:
You can join the facebook group Lille Søster Is - Self-service in Langetved - to keep track of when it fills up.

Langetved's cold store:
Langetved is a small village with scattered settlements along Tved Å. In the centre of the town is the small cold store, where there is now an ice cream shop. When you are inside the store, you can see into the freezers through a "porthole" in the old freezer door. The cold store is from the time when we each did not have freezers at home, and where solutions were found together in the villages. Langetved's cold store was built in 1950  and the freezing plant cost in today's kroner about half a million. Apart from the front door, all the furniture is original. The cold store was in operation until 2005, when the cooling system was shut down, and the cooperative members chose to close the cold store.

Distance:
Rødding: approx. 4 km
Hærvejen's cycle route: 2 km. (Directions - both from the south and from the north: At Skrave Church, you drive from the signposted Hærvej cycle route and follow Skravevej until the T-junction with Gastrupvej. Here you turn right, and after you have crossed a stream, where you can see the characteristic red and white painted bridge railings, Anneksvej goes from to the left.
